Study of Amine Functionalized Mesoporous Carbon as CO2 Storage Materials

Carbon sequestration via the carbon capture and storage (CCS) method is one of most useful methods lowering CO2 emissions in atmosphere. Ethylenediamine (EDA)- triethylenetetramine (TETA)-modified mesoporous (MC) has been successfully prepared as a material. The effect various concentrations EDA or TETA added to MC, well activated (AC), on their adsorption capacity were investigated using high-purity feed titration quantitatively measure amount adsorbed CO2. results showed that within 60 min time, MCEDA49 gave highest (19.68 mmol/g), followed by MC-TETA30 (11.241 mol/g). improvement at low loadings proved four amine functional groups an advantage adsorption. TETA-functionalized MC potential be used material concentration. Therefore, it relatively benign friendly environment.
